Move over Martha

Ever since I was a little girl I have always looked up to Martha Stewart. Instead of watching cartoons, I would watch Martha Stewart. She was always my idol until she went to jail. I really want to be a good homemaker like the one she portrayed on TV, so I have started taking baby steps in that direction.

I planted my own garden. Yes, it is small, but one day I will have a 20 ft by 20 ft garden! Danny thinks it looks like I'm going to the bathroom in this picture but I'm really just posing by my garden. I will never make a good model :)

I also made my own laundry soap. I have yet to try it but I think it will turn out great.

And lastly I made my own all purpose cleaner!

Over the weekend Danny and I were able to go to his cousin Shae Pyper's college graduation. It was really cool to see what she has accomplished. Graduating from college is not an easy thing and I hope that I can do it too. We had a ton of fun hanging out with Shae and Preston (her husband). We played games, talked, made fun of each other, and watched Clash of the Titans (it wasn't very good). We also got to see Danny's mom and sister which is always a treat. I love Danny's family.

  1. How did you make your own laundry detergent? Does it work? I have some great homemade cleaning recipes if you want them. Martha's got nothing on you girl!

  2. Haha true that! I would love your cleaning recipes! I grated a single bar of soap and mixed it with one cup of washing soda and one cup of borax. I have yet to use it though. I think I'm gonna wash my towels tomorrow so I'll let you know!

  4. I love that you're tryin your own soap recipes. I decided that this summer I'm going to become a pro soap maker. I'm making my own soap molds today. We'll see how it turns out...I won't lie. I'm a little nervous. By the by, I think that my giant black sweatshirt makes me look like a blob in that last picture! Fun fun fun.

Who is Danny Bond?

I am not a creative person, yet I find I need a creative outlet. While many of my ideas are shared by the majority around me, I still need them to be heard, just not by anybody.
