Happenings

So much has happened lately! First off, my mom told me I should blog about this, but last week Danny and I had a little scare. We thought I had a miscarriage. So I called the doctor and she had me come in and get an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. I had a feeling like everything was fine but I went in anyways. Ultrasounds aren't very comfortable because they do it when you're bladder is full. So she was pushing down on my belly with that little tool thing and I'm about to pee my pants. Anyways the baby is fine. I didn't have a miscarriage. And what's even better is that I got to hear the heart beat! It was absolutely incredible! I've been very nervous and skeptical about having a baby. But ever since hearing that heart beat I haven't felt happier! I'm just glad that everything is okay. Apparentally all of the hiking I did in Zions the week earlier was what made me think I had the miscarriage :)

The other crazy thing that happened was on Sunday. I woke up and found mold in my apartment from a problem that my landlord wouldn't fix (she is FINALLY coming to fix it Thursday). This was my last straw with her though. So Danny and I went apartment shopping and found one in Springville. Then we posted our apartment on KSL thinking that no one would want to buy our contract because our apartment is ghetto and now its moldy. Well just minutes after posting our apartment, a couple came and looked at it and said they wanted to buy it! I told them all of the problems we have (the leak, the mold, the crack in the tile, the old senile landlord, etc) but they wanted it so we sold it. We are moving out this Thursday to our new place in Springville. I'm a little stressed because this is my last week of spring term so I have a big project and a final and we have to pack and be out by Saturday. But the Lord definitely blessed us with this opportunity so I know that we will be able to handle this week.

  4. way cool that you heard the heart beat! are you reading about "what your baby is" each week? i think you'd really like that ... it's fun to know how big the baby is and what will change about him/her that week.

  6. Glad everything is okay! I had that same scare when I was in my first trimester with Wyatt... freaked me out... but all was okay! Anyways, Hope all goes well... a cool website that I like is i-am-pregnant.com and then over the the right of the page, it says "week by week" and you type in the date of your last period or the due date of the baby and it shows you what your baby looks like and the development and whatnot every week... it's great!
